BUCKINGHAM PALACE ROYAL EVENT & RECEPTION:
Renee performed various numbers at a special VIP Royal event inside Buckingham Palace for HM the Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, Princess Beatrice, and other members of the royal family and their guests, who included various dignitaries and celebrities such as; Duffy, Helen Mirren, and Kevin Spacey amongst others. The performance was to celebrate and recognise the UK's young talent working in the performing arts. It's theme was that of Romeo and Juliet in light of the Royal Wedding the week before. It was a one-off special occasion for the Palace. Renee was thrilled to have been given the opportunity to not only perform for the Queen for the second time in her life, the first being at the 'Hey! Mr. Producer' concert in 1998, but to also to be able to partner her husband for the first time in their whole careers, in Taylor Swift's 'Love Story' dance number as they have wanted to work together in this capacity for quite some time. Renee said "The most memorable moment was when my husband and I had to run to centre stage and do a big and beautiful dance lift to the crescendo of the music, with the City of London Sinfonia orchestra playing and the Royal family literally a couple of feet in front of us! It was a magical experience that I am so grateful for and will never forget." Other musical numbers included 'Something's coming' from 'West Side Story' and an excerpt from 'Romeo and Juliet'.
